About Dinosaurs.

Firstly, Dinosaurs are real. But the myth about Dinosaurs, is that they died out 65 million years ago.

It is supposed, that this occurred by a meteor striking the Earth. The dust thrown up into the atmosphere, blots out the sun, causing major climate change. The resulting Ice age caused the extinction of the dinosaurs.

Dinosaurs in the Bible.

The word "Dinosaur", is a modern word and is not found in our Bible. The Bible used the word "Dragon" for reptilian type creatures.

Men and Dinosaurs Co-existed.

In the book of Job, there is a description of an animal, that can only be described as a dinosaur. This shows that men and dinosaurs co-existed. "...which I made with thee..." [See quote below.]

Rock art.

There is also rock paintings at various sites on Earth. In the American southwest, there is rock paintings on a cave wall. A number of these paintings are of dinosaurs. (They are not mythical creatures - all the other drawings were of animals that existed with the artist. Why not these?)

Dinosaur DNA.

Recently, they have discovered blood cells inside dinosaur bones. If they were 65 million years old, this type of tissue is supposed to have completely decayed away. The statement was made that: "You would think they were only a few thousand years old, to find this."

Maybe they ARE only a few thousand years old.

How did the Dinosaurs Die?

New research has shown that many dinosaurs adopted a certain physical position while dying, (while being covered with the sediments). This indicated that the cause of death, was asphyxiation.

The flood killed the Dinosaurs.

There is an event in the Bible, which could have caused the death of the Dinosaurs in this manner - Noah's Flood. As well as killing the dinosaurs, this event created the fossil record. (Millions of dead things, trapped in rock sediments, all over the Earth.)

Fossil Distribution.

In Wyoming, U.S.A., there is many dinosaur bone deposits. It seems that these animals were killed by an event, their carcases have been consumed by scavengers, or rotted away, and then the bones were carried by a flood event to the present day sites.

The distribution of the dinosaur bones indicate rapid deposition by a flood event. Larger bones (heavier) are lower down in the strata, with smaller bones higher up. Bones of many varieties of dinosaur, are mixed together. There are only a few bones that are connected to others.

This indicates a catastrophic event occurred.

Modern creatures found with Dinosaurs.

Modern creatures and plants have been found in the rock layers, along with the dinosaurs. These are sometimes called "Living fossils". It is claimed that some of these have not changed in 200 million years. (This is called "Stasis")

There is a site at the Paluxy River in Glen Rose, Texas, where there are many Dinosaur footprints in the rocks.

Alongside these, (and sometimes in those footprints - in the same 'plane') there is human footprints.

The Dinosaur footprints did not remain "soft" for 65 million years, waiting for the human ones to be added before the rock dried and hardened.

Tracks in mud do not last long. To be preserved, they must be solidified rapidly, within days. We know the next layer was deposited immediately and rapidly, as there has been no erosion of the tracks. (Flood event)

Are Dinosaurs Birds?

There is a claim that dinosaurs evolved into birds. The claim is made that scales, evolved into feathers. This has been discredited, however, as scales are vastly different structures from feathers. Scales are formed by "skin pockets" whereas feathers are produced from a folicle much like hair is in mammals.

Birds are warm blooded, and have a very different respiratory system, compared to land animals. (including Dinosaurs.)

Birds have been found in the same rock layers as Dinosaurs, proving that birds were around at the same time as Dinosaurs.
